Rider and Delivery Partner Agreement

This agreement governs engagement terms for independent riders onboarding with Jhatpat Logistics under the Jhatpat Courier Delivery brand.

1. Engagement Model

Riders are engaged as independent delivery partners and not as direct employees of Jhatpat Logistics. The platform connects riders with delivery opportunities.

2. Mandatory Documentation

Riders must upload and maintain valid copies of the following:

  • Aadhar Card (identity proof)
  • Driving License valid for two-wheelers
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
  • Valid vehicle insurance

3. Safety and Professional Conduct

  • Riders are fully responsible for complying with traffic laws and penalties
  • Helmet use is mandatory for every trip
  • Polite customer conduct is required; misconduct or theft complaints may result in immediate deactivation

4. Parcel Responsibility

Riders are responsible for parcel safety from pickup handover to successful delivery confirmation. Suspicious consignments must be reported to platform operations immediately.

5. Payouts and Commission

  • Per-order payout is calculated by distance and operational factors shown in the app
  • Platform commission: 20% per completed delivery
  • Settlement frequency: weekly transfer to the registered rider bank account

6. Accidents and Liability

Jhatpat Logistics acts as a technology platform and is not liable for personal injury, road accidents, or rider vehicle damage during delivery operations. Riders are strongly advised to maintain personal accident coverage.

7. Suspension or Termination

Platform access may be restricted or terminated without prior notice for reasons including:

  • Submission of forged or invalid documents
  • Repeated late arrivals or excessive cancellations
  • Use of the platform for unlawful activities

Operational Implementation Notes

  • Rider onboarding should include an explicit agreement checkbox before enabling online mode
  • DL, Aadhar, and RC uploads should be mandatory before go-live
  • A dated PDF acknowledgment can be generated at onboarding for record keeping
